FAQs
According to our regulations, all of our mountain bike guides are certified in at least basic first aid (a 16-hour course that must be renewed annually), and many have also completed more advanced multi-day medical training.
However, since this MTB tour takes place in remote backcountry areas, if you get injured on the trail, evacuation options are limited — you may need to hike out, be carried out, or wait for medical assistance. There is no helicopter rescue available. Therefore, it’s essential that you ride at around 80% of your capacity and avoid pushing beyond your limits. While our guides are there to support you, the success and safety of your trip ultimately depend on your ability to manage personal risk, follow your guides’ instructions, and stay within your skill level.
Take a look at our recommendations on insurance and some useful resources here.
Every participant must have dedicated travel or trip insurance that goes beyond credit card protection or standard medical coverage. Ideally, your policy should include comprehensive benefits such as trip interruption or cancellation and personal liability coverage. Be sure to mention all the activities you’ll be doing — including mountain biking and any others you plan to take part in.
For example, if you get injured on the first day and can’t continue with the rest of your enduro mountain biking trip, this insurance would reimburse the unused portion of your tour. It can also cover additional expenses caused by delays, illness, or even local strikes.
All personal and group gear will be transported in the support vehicles during the day and will meet us each evening at the lodge. Please pack all your belongings in a single bag — we suggest a large duffel for convenience. While we want you to travel comfortably, space in the van is limited, so pack thoughtfully.
Everything you’ll need during the day should be carried in your backpack.
If you’re unsure about what to bring, feel free to reach out to us for guidance.
